Obtuse?

Perhaps I am being too much of a literalist but I don't understand either of those statements. I am doing my final year dissertation on the Systems of Belief And The Culture's Superstory at the University of Wisbech and wonder if I could be put in touch with either the Rev Draper or Mrs Abanjo (preferably both).

I am fearful that right at the last hurdle I have encountered something I don't understand and must obviously ascertain whether this may mean that my tentative conclusions have been negated.

I hope not.

Thanks in anticipation.

Ask a Doctor

I am sorry that in the early 21st century we still see such dangerous nonsense not only still present in the thought pool but also propagated by newspapers. The oxygen of publicity from a newspaper dignifies beyond reason this appalling nonsense.

Let them be confined to ranting in full public view on street corners, smelling of urine and frothing at the mouth about their recognition of some idiotic mythology. Let them explain there how they are so blessed by their dysfunctionality and disordered thinking and pale wives with lank hair.

Pull yourself together

Mr Everett, as an academic the people look to you to discredit such arrant nonsense. If it is at all fascinating it is because grown men and women are so weak-minded or fearful of death that they sanction all kinds of nonsense and crusading and murdery (sic) in the name of this idiotic mythology and its progenitors and offshoots.

In any decent society this kind of dissemination would be looked upon as mental illness.

"shabbalabbadabba ogologomogonogo shabalababababa momamomapopapopa shalanalanangalang dowopbedoowo dedoo shabalabababa" - On the face of it, a piece of gibberish. However, experts have spent years to discover that everything spoken in tongues is actually part of a known language. The miracle is that in general the speakers have never studied those languages, nor even visited the lands where they are spoken.

...to claim to know Him Who Am The Only One by rolling on the floor in that den near Sainsbury's, reciting a shopping list in Afrikaans. It is the work of the Devil who is present whooping and hollering through the mouths of the possessed for the credulity of the foolish.

Ah, Marty Robbins! Ah! Me lost youth. Wasn't he the one who sang Big John? He was a mighty miner down in the mine, Big John, Big Bad John. And then the mineshaft collapsed and he went in to rescue someone and got killed. Big Bad John! Ahhhhhhhh! They don't make them like that anymore. You load 16 tons and what do you get? Another Marty Robbins I'm afraid, Bob. This one is the trainer of Willesden Green United, though it is interesting that you should bring up the racist slander on the Cherokee people contained in 3 Wheels. There is no damn proof whatsoever that at ant time any Cherokees ever pursued a wagon with just three wheels. Thankfully, Hollywood, the disgraceful propaganda arm of the revisionist American Historical Association (AHA) has turned away from these kind of depictions of the noble first races of Amerca (sic) as bolod-thirsty savages. These days the slayer of American manhood and raper of American womanhood is the Arab nation as they circle Fort Israel looking for scalps.

What is ant time?

Is it when they tipped honey over you and pegged you out in the sun while they raped your missus and burnt your log cabin down?

What Ms Forthe-Wright needs to ask herself is how she would like to have been kidnapped by savages and brought up as a squaw in a tepee.

I think you'll find Ant Time was the time signature we took from 3 Wheels on my Wagon for our seminal hits, "Prince Charming, Pedicure is Nothing to be Scared of" and "Aunt Music." It was the "hickety hockety hockety hi" raggedness of it. I put the war paint on my face out of sympathy with the indians.

Quite so, quite so

I am a great admirer of your use of the cultural practices of the Noble Savage in your music videos to highlight the destruction of their nobility and the theft of their cultural practices for the purpose of turning them into trivial sideshows and (ironically) music videos. In these days of a pop music in which nothing is declared but lust your searing exposes and critiques of the state of morality are fondly remembered. No wonder you have struggled with the darkness.
