Labour PM cheerleader for right wing US Republicans

(Heart)Breaking News

The leader of the Labour Party (a socialist party) is calling on people in Britain to come out and support the far right wing US regime leader (Ref: Guardian.) George W. Bush was elected on a technicality by a minority of people who voted in the American presidential election. His opponent Al Gore received a majority of the votes cast. The most unpopular US President in history is also the first to receive a full state visit to Britain, meaning he gets to stay in Buckingham Palace with the present monarch. He has the smug glow of a leader like Hitler, visiting Paris or Prague, and the British leader has the demeanour of a Quisling who knows that his capital city can be crushed on the say so of his master.

I remember following the television coverage of the snaffu which resulted in Bush ascending the Whitehouse steps. Had you seen Mr. Al Gore, you would understand the final choice. Actually there was no choice. Both candidates have the brains of geese.
I hope the major domo in charge of room assignments at Buck'nm Pellis gives them one with a resident ghost - perhaps the ghost of a poorly-treated butler.
No, that was ungenerous of me.
There is a final judgment from which even GWB is not exempt.

In my humble opinion anyone even remotely related to Gore Vidal would have made a better president that Mr. Bush. Al was what, Gore Vidal's nephew or cousin? Actually no, now I come to think of it I would have voted directly for the writer of such wonderful tomes as 'Myra Breckenridge' and 'Duluth' and 'Live from Golgotha' etc.... blah blah....

I am pleased I now know that in order to make it a full state visit one has to stay in B and B with Mrs Windsor. I am left wondering where Mr and Mrs Reagan and that other man Bill stayed when they came over. The Dorchester? Number 10? Or maybe a dodgy guest house overlooking Kings Cross.

The march and action tomorrow will go on into the evening to allow people to get there after work.

If you like the man and his vision come and cheer him.

If you despise him and his land-grabbing, murderous, hypocrisy come and make lots of noise. All Willesdeners should come and voice an opinion one way or the other. If this trip is a glorified party political broadcast for his election campaign come and support/resist it one way or the other. Don't forget he will be our President too. Let mainland Americans see how we cast our vote on the campaign so far tomorrow.

March starts Malet street 2 o clock and proceeds to Trafalgar Square. Wear stout shoes in case the police riot as they are prone to do on such occasions.

Vote for Me

One more push! We took a few votes from the Democrats last time - and how they squealed! - let's take many more this time with the Green Party. Yes, I'm running again.

9/11 was a fork in the road of the history of human affairs. The unimaginative driver took the wrong road. It's a dead end.

Gore Vidal has written two of the best dissident essays since 9/11. His eloquent contempt for the gangsters who grabbed the steering wheel at the last US election is refreshing.

Look after each other down there

If the police do riot look after each other. Photograph unjust arrests and try to get the arrested persons' names. You can forward the info to legal observers later. Take police helmet or epaulette numbers before they cover them up.

My personal check list:

Reversible jacket
Two baseball caps (different colours)
Scarf
camera
Legal release card

Disgusting!

This is Willesden not St Petersburg 1917.

I bet all you young hooligans dream of marching through Brondesbury shouting "To the Finland Station!"

Wow, that must be some serious smack you're snorting if you believe that the British Labour party is 'socialist'.
