"Status: Planning Secured
"Located within a conservation area in Willesden, this new mixed-use development will provide a 5-storey building accommodating 44 apartments, a retail unit, and will importantly retain and 'celebrate' the 1762 'Spotted Dog' public house."
There is a picture of how the result will look. Thanks to anonymous commenter for the link.

So many memories....
And you can't get drunk in a 5 story apartment block , not the way we used to get drunk in the old Spotted Dog...sigh.
I think it will still have the pub there.
Bet it won't have holes punched in the wall and sticky floors though...
i think its a disgrace, the design is awful with little regard for how it sits within the high street.......but more importantly does Willesden Green really need more housing???
They wont sell as the cost of the build will drive up buying/rental prices and therefore they'll stay empty just like the other new builds by Dollis Hill tube making the site once again an unloved rotting eye soar that we all have to walk past on the way to sainsburys!
thanks brent council your lack of appreciation and forward thinking for my neighborhood makes me want to leave
