Greater London is 50 years old
All about the amalgamation of boroughs and the former County of London (Diamond Geezer). All the present London boroughs were established in 1965, made up from amalgamations of smaller boroughs, except Harrow, which is the only one that was already entire. For example, Brent was formed from the earlier Wembley and Willesden boroughs. It's interesting stuff and well illustrated with maps.
