Busy Rascals, run by local mum Sharmine Chowdhury-Tse, has won the Silver Award for Top Pre-School Activities in Brent from the UK’s biggest parenting site Netmums.com.

Sharmine says, "It’s great that Busy Rascals has been voted for by so many Netmums parents as one of the top preschool classes in Brent. Our classes have become increasingly popular since we launched earlier this year. We have had lots of great feedback from local mums and dads who are so happy that there are now fun activities for parents and their little ones in Willesden Green."

The baby and toddler club, which runs Monday to Saturday 9.30am-11.30am at The Queensbury in Willesden Green, hosts parent and baby/toddler mornings, giving mums and dads the opportunity to meet, socialise and participate in various activities with their little ones. The activities include music, songs, rhymes, dance, craft, drama/storytelling, and baby/child signing, as well as workshops for parents.

The Queensbury Manager Steph Peel says “The Queensbury is proud to support Busy Rascals in all the work they do for parents in the local community. The award is well deserved and we are honoured to work alongside such a community spirited project”

Among the activities on offer are Versha's Sing and Sign classes, winner of the Netmums Gold Award for Brent's Favourite Pre-School Activity 2012, as voted for by local parents.

Last year over a million mums cast their votes as part of the awards. Netmums founder Siobhan Freegard said: “All the evidence shows that fun pre-school activities help kids blossom and give parents fun time too. That’s why we wanted to celebrate all they have to offer with these awards. Local mums and dads will be delighted to know Willesden Green has some of the best classes in the country.”
