New directions

Same on both sides
‎This rather nice signpost has appeared outside Sudbury Hill tube station. It says Sudbury at the top, where it really should say Harrow, which is a pity. (No? Electorally, this is part of Harrow-on-the-Hill ward.) Oddly, it omits directions to GSM, a large university campus nearby, but includes directions to a retail park much farther away, which you have to pass by GSM to get to and nobody would ever want to walk to, really.

Far away, the pearl grey sky is slashed

Steam train Bristol / Kingswear / Dartmouth

Kingswear viewed from the Dartmouth side of the river

A brilliant day out on the Torbay Express steam train service from Bristol to Kingswear, with a few hours in Dartmouth by passenger ferry (ticket included in the price). It was quite exhilarating, travelling in vintage luxury and with people and children (not that children aren't people too) waving at the train all the way. On the way out of Bristol in the morning, people came out of their backdoors, one of them in a dressing gown, to admire and wave as the steam train raced by.
